History Of SafeHands Schools

SafeHands Schools (SHS) is a private Christian, faith-based school founded in October 2006. It is the educational arm of House on the Rock, The Refuge in Abuja. The school started with an international Christian curriculum known as “Accelerated Christian Curriculum” (ACE) from North America. However, the school found a need to keep abreast with the changes in education and as such, has adopted an integrated curriculum that captures the best practices in the British and Nigerian school systems wrapped around the Christ-centred curriculum of the Christian Schools Trust, UK. Here the children are not just custodians of excellent academic knowledge but are also raised as Disciples of Christ. SHS has about 200 students from Early Years (3months) to Year 6 (11 years). The school is governed by a School Board as well as the Head Teacher. SHS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and staff strength of about 50. SHS gives high priority to staff development at all levels by providing regular in-house training sessions and other relevant training outside the school.

Appointment with the school will give you and your child an opportunity to know more about the teachers and views about the classrooms
