Art party at Safehands Schools is always exciting

Art party at Safehands Schools is always exciting and this year's party tagged "Dress for a mess - putting the art in party" was exceptional.
.
It was colourful, fun and a great way to spend their day with friends.
.
The early years had fun during their messy play. They carried out activities that help brain, hand and eye coordination.
.
The key stage one pupils painted on potted plants and guess what? They went home with their beautiful work of art.
.
Lower key stage two painted on a canvas. The delightful painting was taken home as a christmas gift.
.
Upper key stage two learnt how to make scented candles. You can imagine the wonderful fragrances they tried out. They also took their work home as gifts.🎁

It's the season of giving and our children learnt that making a gift for their loved ones is another way of giving.🎀

Christmas production is one of the biggest event o

Christmas production is one of the biggest event of the year at Safehands schools. This year's event will hold on Friday 17th of December, 2021.
.
One of the highlights of the day is the school play. In preparation for this, we got everyone involved to get a taste of the material by reading aloud while we run the *table read*.
.
The table read is designed to try out some pupils suitable for casting and to bring everyone involved in the project together, in order to launch the project. This was a great way to set sail as a team.

This year's play themed "A Christmas Tail" promises to be remarkable.😊

Our pupils are working hard behind the scenes to give a stellar performance. Parents' choir will feature and the dress code, oh that will be another interesting feature sure to bring color to the event.

10 pupils of SafeHands School Abuja visited the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria office today 2nd Dec for a tour and experience of the Korean culture.
.
The Primary 6 pupils were excited to tour the exhibition hall and experience tal mask painting.
.
Interestingly, some of them were BTS fans which made them enjoy watching and dancing to the BTS song videos on the exhibition screen!

It was our Early Years Week in Safehands Schools.
.
The week's activities started off on Wednesday with a "Camp out with Books". The children had lots of opportunities to select and read their choice of books and they also enjoyed adult led storytime and roleplay activities.
.
Yesterday's assembly tagged "Incredible Me" was the finale of this week's activities and the children exhibited a well developed sense of self worth and self confidence in their rich and varied presentations ranging from choreography to singing, dancing and talking.
.
All the children came in beautifully dressed in their costumes.

It's been a very busy but interesting week for our pupils in early years.

Our early years reading week has been filled with fun activities. Our parents have been so gracious to donate books to our library and the children have had fun being exposed to the world of books.
.
Today, we had our book camp. Pupils had the opportunity to pick a book for their teachers to read to them in small groups.😊
.

It was all fun while learning last week for the pu

It was all fun while learning last week for the pupils. Year 3 and 5 students had short skits during their class assembly.
.
Year 3 pupils skit centered on the dangers of drug abuse. They highlighted the dangers of self medication and solutions to curb the trend.
.
Our Year 5 had a presentation on the history of world war II, how Adolf Hitler led the Nazi to massacre the Jews and the allied powers rallied around Poland to wage war with the Axis powers.
.
Our pupils has a swell time learning Nigerian folklore songs and games during the Nigerian languages class.
.
Reception and Year 1 pupils were not left out. They visited a pizzeria and creamery @romeospizzang
and they learnt how to make pizza.
.
To cap up the week's activities, our pupils had mini sessions in their classrooms as their teachers talked to them about bullying. To champion the cause for anti-bullying week, pupils came to school with mismatched socks to emphasize that though they may be different they are all unique.
.
Phew! What a week!😊
